Devil Square

Guide

Devil Square is a timed arena. Up to 10 players go in together, fight waves of monsters for 20 minutes, and the top four players get Zen and experience at the end. There are seven squares, one for each level range.

Requirements

  • A Devil's Invitation with the same number as the square. Square 1 needs +1, square 5 needs +5, and so on.
  • Your character level must be in the square's range (see the table).
  • Parties are allowed.
  • Player killers cannot go in.
  • No Zen fee to enter.
Square Map Level (DW, DK, Elf) Level (MG, DL) Invitation
1 Devil Square 1 15 to 130 10 to 110 +1
2 Devil Square 2 131 to 180 111 to 160 +2
3 Devil Square 3 181 to 230 161 to 210 +3
4 Devil Square 4 231 to 280 211 to 260 +4
5 Devil Square 5 281 to 330 261 to 310 +5
6 Devil Square 6 331 to 400 311 to 400 +6
7 Devil Square 7 0 to 400, master class only 0 to 400, master class only +7

Squares 1 to 4 use the same map. Squares 5 to 7 use another map.

Square 7 is for master class characters only. Charon's window does not show a button for it yet, so it cannot be entered from there.

How to get there

Step 1: Make the invitation

The Chaos Goblin in Noria (180, 103) makes the Devil's Invitation. A second Chaos Goblin in the Arena at (121, 120) makes the same invitation.

  1. Put a Devil's Eye and a Devil's Key of the same number in the chaos box. For square 3, that is a +3 eye and a +3 key.
  2. Add one Jewel of Chaos.
  3. Press the mix button. The result is a Devil's Invitation with the same number.

The success rate and the Zen cost depend on the number. Check the mix window before you press the button.

Devil's Eye and Devil's Key drop from monsters on the normal maps, such as Lorencia, Noria, Devias, Dungeon, Tarkan and Icarus. They do not drop in Devil Square.

Step 2: Talk to Charon

  1. Go to Charon in Noria (171, 105).
  2. A window opens with squares 1 to 6. Only the square that matches your level is clickable.
  3. Click it. You are sent into the square if you have the matching invitation.

Step 3: Wait for the gate

The entrance is open for 1 minute. Then the match starts.

Drops inside Devil Square

Most items do not drop in Devil Square. These items always drop:

Any other item drops only 1 time in 10. The rest of the time, the monster gives Zen instead.

Tips

  • The entrance is open for 1 minute only. Be at Charon a little early.
  • Check the number on your invitation before you go. Each one only works for its own square.
  • Keep a potion ready for the fights in the later waves.
  • Only the top four get rewards.
  • Use the 3 minutes after the match to heal before you leave.
  • Parties are allowed, so you can play with friends in the same square.
